Nocturnal blaze guts two houses in Bandipora

Srinagar, Nov 09 (KINS): A fire broke out in Bankoot village, Bandipora, late on Friday night, destroying two double-story houses, officials said.
The fire started around 1:20 AM and damaged the upper floors of both houses, while the ground floors were partially affected.
News agency KINS reported that Gas cylinders stored inside the houses were also destroyed, adding to the damage.
The affected houses belong to Mohammad Sultan Baba and Bashir Ahmed Baba, both residents of Bankoot.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and managed to control the blaze before it spread to nearby houses.
Initial reports suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, due to prompt action; no one was hurt in the fire.
Police have started an investigation to find out the exact cause of the fire.(KINS)
