Srinagar, Nov 19 (KINS): As expected, a significant drop in minimum temperatures has been recorded across several stations in the Kashmir division and a few stations in the Jammu division.
News agency KINS reported that the Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has reported that the minimum temperature has fallen significantly with further fall in minimum temperature by 1-2°C at many stations over the next three days.
Tourists, trekkers, and travelers have been urged to adhere to administrative and traffic advisories to ensure safety during their journeys.
The Met department has provided a detailed forecast: November 19–23: Generally dry weather is expected across Jammu and Kashmir until the evening of November 23.
November 24: Light rain and snow in the higher reaches of Kashmir and isolated areas of Jammu Division are anticipated during the late-night hours of November 23 through the forenoon of November 24.
November 25–30: The weather is expected to remain predominantly dry during this period.
Authorities have advised travelers to plan their trips cautiously, particularly in view of the anticipated light rain and snow on November 24. Proper winter gear and adherence to local advisories are strongly recommended for those venturing into high-altitude areas.(KINS)
