PDP demands transparency on Sgr ring road, satellite townships We want to know who is going to live in the Satellite Townships, let elected Govt answer: Mehboob Beg

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Dec 05 (KINS): The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the elected government to provide clarity on the proposed construction of a ring road and satellite townships along the Galander-Pampore-Narabal stretch.
Addressing a press conference, PDP Chief Spokesman Mehboob Beg as per news agency KINS, raised significant concerns about the project, especially its potential impact on horticultural and agricultural land.
Beg highlighted that a large portion of fertile land would be affected by the project and questioned the purpose of the satellite townships and their intended residents. “We want to know who is going to live in these satellite townships and whether any notice has been given to the people whose lands are being used,” he stated.
He urged the government to keep the public informed and address the concerns of those whose livelihoods rely on these lands. The PDP, in its role as an opposition party, stressed the importance of transparency and proper consultation with communities impacted by such large-scale projects.(KINS)
