Srinagar, Dec 12 (KINS):Sopore police has successfully solved a theft case, arresting five individuals involved in stealing livestock and recovering the stolen animals.
The incident came to light when Fayaz Ahmad War, a resident of Warpora Sopore, filed a complaint with Police Post Warpora, reporting the theft of four cows from his cow shed. A case was registered at Police Station Sopore, and an investigation was launched.
Under the guidance of SP Sopore Divya D-IPS, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed, consisting of the SHO of Sopore Police Station and the Incharge of Warpora Police Post, led by SDPO Sopore. After significant efforts and utilizing technical resources, the police apprehended one suspect, Manzoor Ahmad War, a resident of Raj Mohalla Warpora. During questioning, Manzoor confessed to the crime and revealed the involvement of four other individuals: Mohammad Shafi Lone, Bilal Ahmad Malik, Ashiq Hussain Lone, and Mohammad Asif Bhat, all residents of Warpora and Zyootmulla Bandipora.
All five suspects have been arrested, and two of the stolen cows were recovered from their possession. Additionally, a vehicle, bearing registration number JK15B-3463, used in the theft, has been seized. The investigation is ongoing, and further recoveries are anticipated.
