Srinagar, Dec 19 (KINS): In a heartwarming celebration of the girl child, LD Hospital Srinagar hosted the “Koor Che Noor” (Daughters are Precious) program today.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of valuing and empowering girls in society.
The celebration according to news agency KINS was marked by interactive sessions, and motivational speeches calling the pivotal role of girls in building a progressive and inclusive community.
Prominent speakers from healthcare, education, and civil society shared their perspectives on gender equality and the need to end societal discrimination against girls.
A doctor at LD Hospital highlighted the hospital’s commitment to providing quality healthcare for women and children. “This initiative is a step toward ensuring a brighter and healthier future for our daughters,” the doctor said.
Parents, children, and community members participated enthusiastically, adding to the festive spirit of the program.
Many parents shared their stories of raising daughters and expressed pride in their achievements.
