Police seize properties worth 1.28 Crore in Budgam under NDPS Act

Srinagar, Dec 22 (KINS): Police in Budgam have attached properties worth 1.28 crore across four separate cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In the first case, Police Station Budgam attached a residential house and several vehicles, including a Mahindra Scorpio, a mini truck, and an Ashok Leyland, valued at ₹45.5 lakh. These assets belong to Muhammad Yaseen Dar, a resident of Sholipora Budgam, who is involved in cases FIR Nos. 302/2020 and 134/2021 under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act.
In another case, Police Station Chadoora attached two land parcels in the Nowgam area of Srinagar, along with a residential house, collectively valued at ₹63.7 lakh. These properties belong to Muhammad Ayoub Beigh, a resident of Nowhar Chadoora, involved in FIR No. 47/2024 under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act.
Separately, Police Station Magam attached a two-wheeler Scooty (registration No. JK05G-6071) and a double-storied house located at Badran Magam, worth ₹18.84 lakh. These assets are linked to Irfan Ahmad Lone (@Raja) and Gh Mohd Lone, residents of Badran Magam, involved in FIR No. 120/2024 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act and 121(1) BNS.
These actions reflect the police’s firm stance against the illegal drug trade and the commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks by targeting the illicit proceeds of narcotics. The police have emphasized their dedication to eradicating drug abuse and have called on the public to share information about drug trafficking or related activities. The identities of informers will remain confidential, and their cooperation is vital for ensuring a drug-free society.(KINS)
