Srinagar, Jan 2 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday dismissed allegations of being under pressure from the Centre, Raj Bhawan, or any political leaders, including those from the BJP.
Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister clarified that his government is operating independently and is not influenced by any external forces. “My government is not facing any pressure from the Prime Minister’s Office, Home Minister’s Office, Raj Bhawan, or any BJP leader,” he said according to news agency KINS.
He also refuted claims about bureaucratic inefficiency within his administration. “It is totally untrue that bureaucrats are not listening to us. My government is functioning effectively without any external interference,” he asserted.
He further addressed rumours about him joining the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), describing them as baseless. “There are some people who are happy to spread rumours that I am joining NDA as I am facing pressure from the Centre. These allegations are completely unfounded,” he said.(KINS)
