Jammu, Feb 1 (KINS): BJP leader and MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, emphasized the importance of modern horticultural practices to boost farmer productivity and economic well-being. Speaking at a Mega Awareness Camp/Kissan Mela organized by the Department of Horticulture Jammu in Bajalta, he urged farmers to adopt scientific techniques and fully utilize government schemes, including the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
Sethi reaffirmed the Modi government’s commitment to farmer welfare, highlighting initiatives aimed at sustainable agricultural growth. He lauded the Department of Horticulture for spreading awareness and facilitating access to resources that enhance productivity.
Director Horticulture Jammu, C.L. Sharma, briefed the gathering on various central and UT-level schemes, while senior officials, including Joint Director Vikas Anand and Chief Horticulture Officer Rakesh Kotwal, also addressed the farmers.
