BJP leader Sunil Sharma alleges NC created Ikhwan in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 5 (KINS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Sunil Sharma, on Wednesday alleged that the National Conference (NC) was responsible for the creation of Ikhwan in Kashmir.
Speaking to reporters outside the assembly, Sharma claimed that NC leaders had openly associated with Ikhwan leaders in the past.
“Ikhwani was the creation of NC. Farooq Abdullah was holding rallies with Kuka Parray. Javid Shah (Ikhwani) was once their candidate,” he said, as reported by the news agency KINS.
He also targeted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the autonomy resolution passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly during Farooq Abdullah-led government, which was later rejected by the then Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led government at the Centre.
“Omar Abdullah was part of that centre cabinet when the autonomy resolution was rejected. Why did he not resign then?” Sharma questioned.
Reacting to NC leader Ali Mohammad Sagar’s statement that the Government of India should hold talks with Pakistan, the BJP leader said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi knows whom to talk to, when, and in which language.” (KINS)
