I know my limits, will never cross them: LG Sinha
Srinagar, April 4 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday defended his recent order transferring 48 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officials, asserting that he knows his constitutional limits and would never exceed them.
News agency KINS reported that Sinha made these remarks at an event in Delhi, coinciding with a legislature party meeting chaired by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar. The meeting, attended by National Conference and Congress allies, passed two resolutions, one of which called for respecting the people’s mandate, indirectly criticizing the Raj Bhavan’s decision to issue transfer and posting orders.
In a widely circulated video clip from his Delhi event, LG Sinha reaffirmed his adherence to the J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, stating:
“I would like to make it clear that the J&K Reorganization Act was passed by Parliament in 2019. And I am saying with great responsibility that I have not done anything outside this Act. I am well within my domain, and I will never do anything beyond it. I know my limits and will never cross them.”(KINS)
