Inclement Weather: Swift Action Prevents Flooding in Gulabagh Village
Kulgam, April 20 (KINS): Amid ongoing inclement weather and relentless rainfall across the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir Police have once again demonstrated their commitment to public service by extending timely assistance to residents in need.
During the intervening night of April 19 and 20, Police Post Jawahar Tunnel received a distress call from the residents of Gulabagh, reporting that floodwater had entered their homes due to clogging in a local stream. Responding promptly, a police team under the supervision of SSP Kulgam was dispatched to the spot.
Exhibiting commendable coordination and effort, the police team managed to divert the water back into the main stream using all available resources. Their swift action not only prevented further flooding in the village but also safeguarded lives and property.
