Rahul Gandhi meets family of Pahalgam terror victim in Kanpur

Srinagar, Apr 30 (KINS): Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi met the family of Shubham Dwivedi, a Kanpur resident who was among the 26 victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

During his visit, Rahul Gandhi paid heartfelt tributes to Shubham Dwivedi and spent nearly 28 minutes with the bereaved family, offering condolences and solidarity. He also connected the grieving family with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra via a phone call.

Speaking after the visit, Gandhi reiterated the need for decisive and immediate action against those responsible for the attack. In a social media post, he wrote, “The entire nation stands with the families of the victims in this moment of grief. Concrete and strict action must be taken against the terrorists, and justice must be ensured for the families.”

Rahul Gandhi also emphasized that the United Opposition has extended full support to the government and has demanded a special session of Parliament to discuss the attack and chart a collective course of action. (KINS)
