CM Omar Abdullah calls on PM Modi in Delhi

Srinagar, May 03 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday to discuss a range of pressing issues, including last week’s deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, officials said.

The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, lasted several minutes. It marked the first direct interaction between the two leaders following the April 22 terror strike that claimed the lives of 26 people, most of them tourists visiting the popular hill resort in south Kashmir.

Sources said the discussion primarily revolved around the security situation in the region and the steps being taken to prevent such incidents in the future.

The Chief Minister also reportedly briefed the Prime Minister on the government’s response and ongoing investigations related to the attack.(KINS)
