Schools across J&K to remain closed on Friday

KU, IUST suspends classwork

Srinagar, May 08: Amid prevailing situation, authorities on Thursday said that the classwork in all private and government schools upto 12th standard shall remain suspended across Jammu and Kashmir.

Minister of Education, Sakina Itoo said, “Keeping in view the safety of students, class work in schools upto 12th standard shall remain suspended on Friday.”

Meanwhile the University of Kashmir and Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has also suspended the classwork for Friday.

Registrar of KU said, “We have decided to suspend the classwork for Friday. If there are any other changes, we will notify the students accordingly.”
