HIGH TIME TO ROOT OUT ORGANISED CRIME & MAFIA NETWORKS IN J&K: DGP NALIN PRABHAT

Srinagar, Aug 06 (KINS): Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, visited the Crime Branch Headquarters in Srinagar today to review its functioning, ongoing investigations, and overall performance.

The DGP was received by the IGP Crime Branch, J&K, along with senior officers. He held a meeting with the unit’s officials and was briefed on major cases under investigation, including cybercrime, financial frauds, and other serious offences.

Addressing the officers, Nalin Prabhat emphasized the need to eradicate organised crime and mafia networks from Jammu and Kashmir. He urged officers to work with integrity, speed, and efficiency, and to leverage advanced technology and meticulous documentation to strengthen investigations and ensure successful prosecution in courts.

Commending the efforts of the Crime Branch team, the DGP assured enhanced training and support, particularly in areas related to cyber and financial crimes.

Later, he interacted with the staff, appreciated their commitment, and encouraged them to continue their dedicated work with full support from Police Headquarters, J&K.

This visit was part of the DGP’s regular field reviews aimed at improving coordination, efficiency, and overall policing standards across all units in Jammu and Kashmir.(KINS)
