Dr Jitendra Singh visits Polo View Srinagar, interacts with traders on GST relaxation benefits

Srinagar, Sept 25 (KINS): Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Jitendra Singh, today visited Polo View market in Srinagar, where he interacted with traders, shopkeepers, and locals to discuss the impact of the recently announced Goods and Services Tax (GST) relaxation.

During his interaction as per news agency KINS , Dr Jitendra Singh said the GST relaxation is a significant step towards reducing the financial burden on small and medium traders, while ensuring ease of doing business and growth in local markets. He assured the business community that the government remains committed to strengthening economic activity across Jammu and Kashmir.

“The GST relaxation is aimed at creating an enabling environment for trade and commerce, while supporting livelihood opportunities for thousands of families,” Singh said.

BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur echoed the minister’s remarks, adding that the government’s proactive measures will help revive commercial activity and encourage sustainable growth.

Local traders and shopkeepers welcomed the initiative, expressing confidence that the relief would ease operational challenges and provide a much-needed boost to their businesses.(KINS)
