J&K Bank Signs MoU with J&K Government to Ensure Timely Pension Reimbursements

Srinagar, Sept 29 (KINS): J&K Bank has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to streamline and ensure the timely reimbursement of pension claims submitted through the Bank.

The new mechanism established under the MoU aims to facilitate smooth and seamless settlement of pension claims, prevent the buildup of pending cases, and enhance the efficiency of pension disbursement, including claims from municipal and local bodies across the Union Territory.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Santosh D. Vaidya, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, J&K. DG Accounts & Treasuries (DGAT) Fayaz Ahmad Lone signed the MoU on behalf of the Government, while General Manager of Government Banking, Ashutosh Sareen, represented J&K Bank.

The event was also attended by DGM (Government Banking) Manju Gupta, In-charge (Government Banking) Mushtaq Ahmad Bayroo, Branch Head (Moving Secretariat) Dheeraj Sharma, and AAO (Finance Department) Majid Mohiuddin Dar.

This formalized arrangement underscores J&K Bank’s commitment to providing efficient government banking services, with a particular focus on ensuring prompt and accurate pension reimbursements.

The renewed mechanism is expected to bring greater efficiency, convenience, and assurance to both the Government and pensioners, further reinforcing J&K Bank’s role as a trusted partner in public service delivery through citizen-friendly banking solutions.(KINS)
