Srinagar, Oct 24 (KINS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir, has announced a celebration at its Party Headquarters in Srinagar, to mark the victory of UT President Sat Sharma in the Rajya Sabha elections.
As per the news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), BJP president Sat Sharma, accompanied by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma and BJP MLAs, will arrive at the Party Headquarters to join the celebration.
The event comes shortly after the historic Rajya Sabha elections from Jammu and Kashmir — the first since the abrogation of Article 370 — where Sat Sharma secured victory for the BJP, while the National Conference bagged three of the four seats.
“Party workers and supporters are expected to gather in large numbers to greet the leaders and celebrate the BJP’s success in the Union Territory’s first upper house polls in over five years,” a BJP leader said. (KINS)
