Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrated with unity and devotion at Uri foothills

Srinagar, Nov 05 (KINS): The serene foothills of Uri came alive with devotion and festivity as soldiers and local residents joined hands to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti on Wednesday. The event, organized as a tribute to the teachings and legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, reflected his timeless message of peace, compassion, and selfless service to humanity.

The celebrations featured soulful kirtans and a community langar (feast), embodying the values of equality and brotherhood that Guru Nanak Dev Ji preached. The joyous gathering served as a reminder of the spiritual and cultural harmony that defines India’s rich heritage.

This joint celebration highlighted the strong bond of mutual respect and cultural unity between the Indian Army and the people residing in the border areas.
