PDP’s Aga Muntazir vows to ‘correct injustice’ in Budgam, says NC ‘failed’ people of J&K

Srinagar, Nov 06 (KINS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Budgam bypolls, Aga Muntazir, Thursday said that he is contesting the upcoming elections to “correct the injustices and blunders” committed with the people of Jammu and Kashmir over the past seven decades.
Speaking to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), Muntazir said that the National Conference (NC) had consistently failed to deliver on its promises and had “disappointed the people of Jammu and Kashmir over the last 70 years.”
“I have entered politics to correct the blunders and injustice done to Budgam. My manifesto for this election is Budgam-specific,” Muntazir said.
Outlining his priorities, the PDP candidate said his focus would be on creating employment opportunities and improving health and educational infrastructure in the constituency. “If elected, I will ensure that health and education facilities are upgraded and that youth get employment opportunities. Unlike other leaders who disappear after elections, I will remain among my people,” he asserted.
Muntazir also criticized the National Conference leadership for being “power-centric,” alleging that the party’s top leaders have always prioritized positions over people. “The NC has always been interested in power. Even Omar Abdullah was once a minister in the BJP-led government at the Centre,” he said.
The PDP candidate further reiterated his party’s opposition to the installation of electric meters, saying, “PDP has always opposed electric meters, and we will continue to do so in the future.” (KINS)
