DGP Nalin Prabhat leads ‘Vande Mataram’ 150th anniversary celebration at PCR Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 07(KINS): To mark the 150th anniversary of India’s national song “Vande Mataram”, the Jammu and Kashmir Police today organized the main commemoration event at the Police Control Room (PCR) in Kashmir.
The programme was inaugurated by Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, who led the celebrations with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The event began with the collective singing of “Vande Mataram”, in which the DGP, senior officers, and a large number of police personnel participated. The powerful rendition echoed through the PCR, symbolizing unity, dedication, and devotion to the motherland — ideals that the song continues to inspire.
Senior officers including Spl. DGP (Coordination) J&K S.J.M. Gillani, IGP Kashmir, DIG IRP Kashmir, DIG CKR, DIG CID, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with officers and personnel reaffirming their pledge to serve the nation with integrity and commitment. The gathering reflected a deep sense of national pride and solidarity, highlighting the enduring relevance of “Vande Mataram” as a timeless emblem of India’s unity and patriotic spirit.(KINS)
