Sat Sharma, Sunil Sharma chair BJP MLAs meeting in Samba; call for welfare-oriented governance reaching every household

Samba, Nov 09 (KINS):The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, held its monthly meeting of MLAs at Akhilash Farm in district Samba. The meeting was chaired by Sat Sharma (CA), Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and President, BJP J&K, along with Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma.

The session was also addressed by Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, and Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary & MLA.

Prominent participants included J&K BJP General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, MLAs Dr. D.K. Manyal, Sham Lal Sharma, Surjit Singh Slathia, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, Adv. Ranbir Singh Pathania, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Arvind Gupta, Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, Shaghun Parihar, Surinder Bhagat, Thakur Darshan Singh, Thakur Randhir Singh, Mohan Lal Bhagat, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, and Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj. District Presidents Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Arun Gupta, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Rinku Choudhary, Rajiv Pandita, and Gopal were also present.

The meeting reviewed ongoing organizational activities, discussed public-centric developmental issues, and formulated a roadmap to further strengthen the party’s base across the Union Territory.

Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma emphasized that the BJP remains the true voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged every elected representative to work in “mission mode” to ensure that every section of society benefits from the policies of the Modi Government. He called upon MLAs to enhance their outreach so that the party’s welfare-oriented governance model touches every household.

Sat Sharma lauded the MLAs for their proactive role in the Assembly, particularly in highlighting people’s issues and countering any attempts of regional bias.

In his address, Sunil Sharma said that over the last decade, the BJP has emerged as a credible force for development and integrity in Jammu & Kashmir. He reiterated the party’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and rapid progress, appreciating the welfare measures initiated by BJP MLAs. He urged them to intensify grassroots outreach and said the people of J&K have seen through the politics of deceit practiced by NC, Congress, and PDP, and are now standing firmly with the BJP’s vision of peace, prosperity, and empowerment.

Ashok Koul highlighted the importance of coordination between elected representatives and party cadres to strengthen the organization and effectively implement welfare initiatives at the ground level. “Our strength lies in discipline, dedication, and commitment to service,” he said.

Dr. Narinder Singh noted that the Modi Government remains deeply committed to development at the grassroots, ensuring progress even in the remotest corners through accountable and performance-oriented governance.

During the meeting, BJP MLAs felicitated Sat Sharma on his election as Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and wished him a successful, people-centric tenure.

On the occasion, a book highlighting the first-year achievements of MLA Dr. Bharat Bhushan was unveiled, showcasing the developmental initiatives and welfare measures undertaken in his constituency.(KINS
