NC’s ‘hollow palace is crumbling,’says Sunil Sharma; ‘decline evident from Nagrota to Budgam

Srinagar, Nov 14 (KINS): Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Friday said the National Conference (NC) is undergoing a clear and accelerating political decline, asserting that the party’s “hollow palace is crumbling” as people across Jammu & Kashmir increasingly reject its outdated politics and unfulfilled promises.

Sharma in a statement issued to news agency KIND recalled that he had earlier predicted NC’s defeat in the Budgam seat, adding that the prevailing public sentiment now strongly echoes that assessment. “People are fed up with the hollow promises and emotional exploitation NC has relied on for decades. The hollow palace of NC is collapsing day by day,” he said.
He stated that the downfall of NC has already begun—first reflected in its setback in Nagrota and now in the growing certainty of defeat in Budgam. “Nagrota was the first signal. Budgam will further confirm that people have moved beyond NC’s politics of convenience and now seek leadership that actually delivers,” Sharma added.
The Leader of Opposition said the BJP stands for genuine change, development, and accountability, while the NC has failed to evolve or respond to people’s aspirations. He noted that the public is increasingly aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of peace, progress, and empowerment, firmly rejecting what he termed NC’s “politics of deception.”
Sharma thanked the people of Nagrota for placing their trust in the BJP and expressed gratitude to the people of Budgam for, as he said, rejecting NC’s hollow promises and double standards. He reaffirmed that the BJP will continue working with sincerity and commitment to fulfill the aspirations of the people across Jammu & Kashmir.(KINS)
