First flight from Iran after airspace closure lands safely in Delhi

Srinagar, Jan 17 (KINS): The first flight carrying Indian students and pilgrims from Iran after the closure of airspace due to alleged recent violence safely landed at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi on Saturday.
The Mahan Air flight arrived from Tehran as a regular commercial service, and not as part of any evacuation operation. This marks the first direct flight from Iran to India since escalating tensions and violence in the region had led to the suspension of air traffic.
Passengers on board included Indian students pursuing studies in Iran and pilgrims who had been stranded due to the airspace restrictions. Their safe arrival has brought relief to families and authorities alike, amid concerns over the evolving security situation in the Iran.(KINS)
