Zero Academy & Ignited Minds Host “Future Leaders of Kashmir” Debate Competition at Srinagar
Srinagar, February 14: Zero Academy (Communication & Life Skills), in collaboration with Ignited Minds IAS Academy, successfully organized the “Future Leaders of Kashmir – Debate Competition” today at Sarovar Portico, Srinagar Airport Road.
The debate was held on the theme “Employment-Driven Education System vs Traditional Degree-Based Education System,” encouraging students to critically examine the evolving relationship between education and employment. Students from Classes 9th to 12th participated with remarkable confidence, presenting well-researched arguments, logical rebuttals, and forward-looking perspectives. Their clarity of thought, stage presence, and professional articulation were widely appreciated.
The event was graced by several eminent personalities from academia, administration, civil services, media, and the arts, including Prof. (Dr.) Ghulam Nabi Itōō, Director, Centre for Good Governance & Policy Analysis, IUST; SP East Raja Zuhaib Tanveer (JKPS); Mir Mushtaq Qadir, Civil Service Strategist; Mr. Syed Shabir Ahmad (JKAS), Joint Director, School Education Kashmir; Junaid Rather, Managing Director, Junes Production; Mushtaq Ali, Filmmaker and Theatre Director; Mr. Tariq Ahmad Sheikh (JKAS), Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Baramulla; Dr. Tariq Abdullah, Senior Producer, EMRC University; Jon Mohammad Bhat, Senior Assistant Professor of English, Higher Education Department; and Wajid Assad, International English Teacher and Accent Trainer and Rampage Digital.
The distinguished guests lauded the initiative for creating a constructive platform that nurtures critical thinking, public speaking skills, and leadership qualities among the youth of Kashmir. They emphasized the importance of aligning education with employability while preserving strong academic and ethical foundations.
The debate concluded with appreciation for all participants and organizers, reinforcing the shared vision of Zero Academy and Ignited Minds IAS Academy to empower young minds and cultivate informed, confident, and responsible future leaders of Kashmir.
