Himayat’s hat-trick and heartfelt tribute power RKFC U-16 to 7–1 victory

Himayat’s hat-trick and heartfelt tribute power RKFC U-16 to 7–1 victory
Srinagar, Feb 15: A heartfelt message stole the spotlight as much as the scoreline at TRC Ground on Sunday. Moments after completing a scintillating hat-trick, young Himayat paused to pen an emotional tribute on his jersey — “Mom, your blessings are my real victory.” The gesture drew resounding applause from the stands, becoming the defining image of Real Kashmir FC U-16’s emphatic 7–1 triumph over Young Football Club (Khad) in their first home fixture of the AIFF Junior League.
The match marked the U-16 side’s debut on home soil in the national competition, having previously played their fixtures outside Jammu and Kashmir. Backed by local supporters, the young Snow Leopards delivered a dominant performance from the opening whistle.
Displaying composure and tactical discipline, the hosts controlled possession and carved open the opposition defence with clinical precision. Himayat led the charge with three well-taken goals, while the rest of the attacking unit contributed to a commanding scoreline that reflected RKFC’s superiority in all departments.
The team’s organised defence effectively neutralised the visitors’ advances, ensuring the contest remained one-sided. The convincing win not only underlined the depth of talent in RKFC’s youth ranks but also signalled their intent in the ongoing league campaign.
Owned by Arshad Shawl, Real Kashmir FC continues its mission to nurture local talent and provide a national platform for aspiring footballers from the Valley. The club remains the only side from Jammu and Kashmir competing in the country’s professional football structure, currently represented in the rebranded Indian Football League.
Sunday’s victory, however, will be remembered not only for the goals but also for a young footballer’s touching tribute — a reminder that behind every triumph lies unwavering support from home. (KINS)
