DGP Nalin Prabhat reviews Gulmarg rescue operation; Over 200 stranded tourists rescued

Srinagar, May 25(KINS): Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Monday reviewed the ongoing rescue operation in Gulmarg along with the DIG North Kashmir Range and SSP Baramulla, as joint rescue teams successfully evacuated more than 200 stranded tourists.
According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, the large-scale rescue operation was carried out by personnel of SDRF, Gulmarg Police, Special Operations Group (SOG), Snow Leopards, and the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police, including 14 Mountain Rescue Teams.
Police said teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) also made exemplary contributions to the coordinated operation conducted under challenging weather and terrain conditions.
Senior police officials monitored the rescue efforts on the ground to ensure the safety and timely evacuation of all stranded tourists.(KINS)
