Sopore Police Martyrs Memorial T20 Knockout Cricket Tournament 2024-25 Concludes Successfully

Srinagar, Feb 25 (KINS): Sopore Police Martyrs Memorial T20 Knockout Cricket Tournament 2024-25 concluded successfully on February 25, 2025. The tournament, which began on December 24, 2024, at MET Ground, Sopore, featured 32 teams comprising players from Police District Sopore.

The final match was a thrilling contest between Seer Eleven and Students Cricket Club Warpora, with Students Cricket Club Warpora clinching victory by just one run.

The closing ceremony was attended by Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir Range, Baramulla, Shri Maqsood ul Zaman (IPS), and Superintendent of Police, Sopore, Smt. Divya D (IPS). They distributed cash prizes of ₹1,00,000 to the winners and ₹50,000 to the runners-up, along with trophies for both finalist teams.

The event aimed to promote sports, nurture young talent, and honor the sacrifices of J&K Police martyrs. Sopore Police reaffirmed their commitment to supporting and organizing such sporting events in the future.(KINS)
