DC Srinagar hands over fully equipped Ambulance to BMO Hazratbal to strengthen emergency healthcare services in Harwan Block
SRINAGAR JUNE 10: Continuing efforts to strengthen emergency healthcare services in the District, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today handed over a fully equipped ambulance to the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Hazratbal, aimed at strengthening medical transportation and emergency response facilities in Harwan Panchayat Block and other rural areas of the District.
The handover ceremony was held at the DC Office premises attended by Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tahir Sajad, BMO Hazratbal Dr. Abdul Majeed, ZMO SR Gunj Dr. Shafaqat, ZMO Zadibal Dr. Rubeena, besides other officers of the District Administration and Health Department.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the addition of the ambulance would significantly strengthen emergency healthcare infrastructure in Hazratbal Medical Block and serve as a critical resource for the patints, especially residents of tribal and rural areas.
He emphasized that the ambulance will improve the accessibility and efficiency of healthcare services by ensuring the timely transportation of patients and trauma cases to healthcare institutions. The DC also stressed the importance of its optimal utilization to provide prompt medical assistance, enhance patient care and further strengthen the district’s emergency response capacity.
The ambulance is expected to provide much-needed support to healthcare teams serving remote areas and contribute to improved healthcare delivery across rural parts of Srinagar district.
