Srinagar, Jan 21 : Ahead of Republic Day forces launched a search operation in Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar this evening.
Reports said amid snowing and harsh weather conditions forces conducted door to door search operation in Bagh e Mehtab area of Srinagar.
Official sources said that on specific inputs about the presence of suspecious movement searches has been launched.
Pertinently earlier this day a gunfight broke out between militants and goverment forces in Hapatnar area of Char-e-Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district which is still underway.
Latest reports said that one dead body of militant was recovered while firing has been again resumed from the area.
