Srinagar : The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Thursday ordered creation of WhatsaApp groups of parents in every school to make them aware about the activities taking place there.
An order issued by the DSEK named the school heads as admins of these WhatsApp groups and asked them to “share all academic/non-academic activities on these groups so that parents are made well aware about the activities of the school”.
The order asked the school heads to “update the parents with day to day activities/performance/ attendance of their wards” on the whatsapp groups for the parents’ “information and prompt intervention wherever required”.
The order also asked the school heads to create websites of their schools and upload all the relevant information there.
