Police in a statement today said that militants today shot dead a civilian at Kachdoora area in District Shopian.
Identified as Tanveer Ahmad Dar resident of Bemnipora, he was killed by militants and his body has been retrieved from the spot.
Body will be handed over to the family after completion of medico-legal formalities.
Police has registered a case and officers are at the spot and continue to work to establish circumstances of this terror crime.
