Drowned boy’s body recovered from Jhelum

Srinagar, April 13 : Police on Saturday recovered the body of a minor boy who had drowned in the Jhelum two days ago.

Officials said that the Suhail  Ahmad Khawaja (12) son of Abdul Gafoor Khawaja of Tanghdar had drowned in the river near Fateh Kadal area here.

On Saturday morning, locals spotted a  body floating in the river near Sumbal and informed the concerned police station, they said.

The body was identified as that of Suhail and handed over to his family for last rites after legal and medical formalities.
