Sumbal accused is not a juvenile: Police 14

Srinagar, May 13 : Jammu and Kashmir Police today said that the accused involved in the alleged rape of a girl is not a juvenile as claimed by the school authorities.

Police said a special Investigation team has been constituted to probe the incident.

“The accused has been arrested. Punishment will be awarded by the court as per law. The accused is not juvenile,” a top police officer told news agency.

Meanwhile, protests erupted at several places in Kashmir with people observing strike against the heinous crime. (KNS)
