Kishtwar, June 07: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, District Health Society (DHS) Kishtwar organized a free medical camp under “BBBP scheme” at village Dhar of Tehsil Drabshalla District Kishtwar on 6.7.2019 under guidance and supervision of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kishtwar, Dr. A. M. Malik.
During the camp, CMO Kishtwar first gave general awareness regarding BBBP scheme, various health and family welfare programs/schemes to the participants and asked them to avail benefits of various programs/schemes.
During the camp as many as 387 patients were examined for different ailments wherein 95 children were screened by RBSK Team, 7 with hearing defects were referred to DEIC, 5 new diabetics, 50 hypertensive patients were detected besides other ailments.
Free medicines were distributed among the patients besides 13 number of spectacles were also provided to presbyopia patients.
A team of doctors and paramedics whose services were utilized included Dr. Sanjay Parihar physician, Dr. Sajid Surgeon, Medical Officers, Dental Surgeon, Ophthalmic tech, Lab tech, Pharmacists and other supporting staff.
