Srinagar Police arrests a female fraudster & her accomplice

December 04: Srinagar Police received a complaint from one person namely Sheikh Shameem resident of Indra Nagar running a gold ornament shop at Gojwara Nowhatta wherein he stated that a family including husband, wife & a kid purchased golden ornaments worth ₹6.86 lacs from his shop against cheques, which got bounced.

The complainant further stated that he later realized that he has been duped by a female fraudster identified as Masrat @Bubbly resident of Batamaloo Srinagar.

On receipt of this complaint, a case FIR No. 57/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, Srinagar police tracked the accused lady and arrested her alongwith an accomplice identified as Mehrah-ud-Din Sheikh resident of Buchwara Dalgate.

Investigation in the matter is going on.
