Altaf Bukhari led group likely to announce launch of new Political party

Core group meets on Wednesday, may constitute Draft Committee for preparing constitution of party

Srinagar, Jan 27 : The newly emerged political front led by former Finance Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari is likely to float a formal party for which the process of drafting constitution may begin as soon as on Wednesday.

The core group of the forum is slated to meet on Wednesday in Jammu for consultation and discussion on current political scenario in the union territory.

Sources within the forum told news agency that a consultative committee would be constituted on Wednesday which will begin the public outreach exercise in the run up to the formation of a formal political party.

A senior leader of the core group told that besides consultative committee, a separate Draft committee was also likely to be constituted which would be entrusted to prepare the constitution of the yet to be launched Political Party.

He also said that the draft committee would be asked to undertake extensive and broad based consultations with the people of all the regions, religions, sections, and stakeholders of the Union Territory and ensure that the constitution of the party is based on realism, achievable and non- controversial.
