COVID- 19: Govt appeals people to follow orders, directions in spirit

Srinagar, Mar 23 (KINS): The administration has made a fervent appeal to the people of both regions Kashmir and Jammu to maintain calm and follow the orders of the government in spirit to prevent spread of deadly Coronavirus.

“We are trying our level best to prevent spread of Covid-19.Administration is taking all the possible steps to keep the people safe and that people need to cooperate,” one of the top officials here in the administration told KINS.

Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced complete lockdown in the Union Territory till March 31 in a bid to prevent spread of deadly Covid-19.

The government on Monday had said that the government has decided to go tough against violators of lockdown in both Kashmir and Jammu.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appealed to state/UT governments to ensure that rules and regulations of the coronavirus lockdown are enforced.

Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. I request state governments to ensure rules and laws are followed,” he had said in a tweet. (KINS)
