Srinagar, May 02 (KINS): President Ram Nath Kovind has applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking timely and effective steps to deal with COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring that India takes a leading role in fighting the pandemic.
According to news agency KINS, Kovind has said the way country has effectively dealt with the pandemic under leadership of Prime Minister and Chief Ministers can be seen as the India Model “The data shows that the India Model has been successful.
India has supplied medicines to over a hundred countries in the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and Live and Let Live,” the president has said.
He stated that following the global COVID-19 crisis, the world will move from economic globalisation to health globalisation.
He expressed confidence that India will emerge as a more self-reliant nation out of this challenge. “The maturity shown by the leadership, administration and citizens is being praised across the world”.
President Kovind stressed on the need for large and densely populated countries like India to take steps for population control. “Such disasters can have severe consequences in India otherwise. This period has shown the importance of strengthening democratic roots in the nation”.(KINS)
