DC B’la reviews infrastructure facilities in Sports sector


BARAMULLA, MARCH 05: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bupinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to take an appraisal of infrastructural and other allied facilities available in sports sector.
On the occasion, the DC took a comprehensive review of various aspects associated with sports wherein he was briefed by the concerned authorities about the overall scenario of sports in the district.
During the meeting, DC stressed for involving all concerned stakeholders more especially the PRIs to scale up sports activities in the district. He directed to work in coordination and synergy to involve more and more youth towards sports.
He also termed sports necessary for channelizing the potential of our youth towards the right direction.
The DC further added that synergy between departments like Rural Development, Youth Services & Sports and Sports Council is must for development of sports infrastructure and reiterated his commitment for upgrading it by exploring all possible means.
He also directed to ramp up the pace of work on the projects taken in sports sector besides assuring all possible assistance on the part of his administration.
ADDC Baramulla Aijaz Abdullah Saraaf, ADC, JDP, ACD, CEO, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Manager Sports Council among other concerned officers attended the meeting.
