Reyaz Beigh reviews implementation of JKRLM in Poonch

SRINAGAR, Oct06 (KINS): Additional Mission Director, Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM), Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, today chaired a meeting to review block wise progress achieved under rural livelihood mission in Poonch district.

The meeting was attended by State Project Manager Umeed, District Programme Manager, Block Programme Manager, MIS Assistants of Poonch through video conferencing.

On the occasion, AMD impressed upon the officials of the Mission to enroll more women into the fold of Self Help Groups (SHGs) as per the rural households and Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) households besides developing special programme for enhancing rural livelihoods.

He asked the Block Programme Mangers (BPMs) to organize regular meetings with the SHGs and ensure their complete participation in social-economic development of their respective areas. He instructed the BPMs to upload all the data/ information on the national portal and register the SHG products on Gem Portal (Government-e Marketplace) for increased sale of their products.

Highlighting role of the Mission in rural transformation, ADM said that the programme is aimed at to ensure that at least one woman from each rural poor household is brought into the fold of SHG. He stressed upon the officials to formulate special plans for migratory population in the district for enhancing their livelihoods.

It was informed on the occasion that about 9077 rural women have been federated into 1197 SHGs and 100 village organizations and an amount of Rs 5.32 crore has been provided to the SHGs as capitalization under the Mission. (KINS)
