VC DDC Kupwara visits border area Machill

Asks officers to complete pending works before onset of winter

KUPWARA, Oct 09 ( KINS):: Vice Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir today said that development of border areas is the priority of the Government. He said people can demand anything as there is accountable Government and administration in place.

The Vice Chairman was addressing a joint meeting of officers, PRIs and senior citizens at the border area of Machil of Kupwara district.

The DDC Member Kalaroos, Mustafa Deedad; BDC Chairperson Machill were present at the occasion, besides officers and a large number of people.

The VC DDC reviewed the developmental scenario of the border area and asked officers to ensure completion of all pending works before the onset of winter.

Regarding electricity, the VC directed the concerned engineers to complete the pending work of the power sector within 10 days. He also had a meeting with PRIs and senior citizens of the area and listened to their grievances.

The Vice Chairman heard them patiently and assured them that all their genuine demands would be brought to the notice of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara for timely resolution of issues. He assured them that the people of border areas should not hesitate in raising questions regarding development before the administration as there is accountable and transparent administration available in the district.
