No Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid on 17th consecutive Friday

Friday prayers were not allowed for the seventeenth successive week in historic Jamia Masjid in downtown area in Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar, However, prayers were allowed in mosques in the interior areas in the valley.

Reports reaching said that the boundaries of Jamia Masjid were surrounded by the forces and nobody was permitted to enter the Masjid compound.

Meanwhile normal life across Kashmir Valley remained disrupted on Friday as shops remained closed in most areas while lesser transport was plying on roads.
