Covid-19 threat still looming large; vaccination best solution to curb Pandemic: DC B’gam

BUDGAM, AUGUST 26 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today appealed the un-vaccinated population of the district to get inoculated at an earliest as it is the best solution to curb the looming threat of Pandemic.

The DC said this during his routine press briefing on Covid-19 containment measures, present status and preparedness.

Giving details, the DC said that presently there are 73 active positive cases in the district with recovery rate above 99 percent. Similarly Covid-19 positivity rate stands below 0.5 percent.

The DC further said, there is uneven spike in positive cases with some new positive cases being reported from some areas while other areas remaining under control.

He once again appealed that threat and risk associated with Covid-19 is not over yet, accordingly there is urgent need of 100% vaccination of general masses and strict adherence to all mandated COVID-19 SOPs to curb its spread.
