Srinagar, July 21:Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha released two translated works, “Zarf Zargar” and “Exploring Vimal’s Rahi,” by Mushtaque B. Barq, at Raj Bhawan today. These books are translations of the original works of renowned poets Ahad Zargar and Rehman Rahi.
The Lt Governor congratulated Mushtaque Barq and all those involved in the publications. He praised the efforts to preserve and promote the literary legacies of Ahad Zargar and Rehman Rahi through these translations.
“Zarf Zargar” is an anthology of selected Sufi poems by Ahad Zargar, translated into English by Mushtaque B. Barq. “Exploring Vimal’s Rahi” is the English translation of Jnanpith Award recipient Rehman Rahi’s poems, originally translated into Urdu by Dr. Satish Vimal.
The event was attended by Mushtaque B. Barq, Dr. Satish Vimal, Khurshid Ahad Zargar (son of Ahad Zargar), and Sheikh Mohammad Waseem, the publisher of the anthologies.
