Security Forces Recover Arms Dropped by Drone in J&K’s Samba District; BSF and Police on High Alert

Srinagar, Sep 02 (KINS): Security forces today recovered a cache of arms and ammunition that were dropped by a drone in the border area of Samba district.
Acting on intelligence reports, a search operation was launched in the Ramgarh sector, where the suspicious drone activity was detected during the night.
During the search operation, security personnel recovered three pistols along with other ammunition, indicating a possible attempt to smuggle weapons into the region.
The discovery has prompted the Border Security Force (BSF) and local police to be placed on high alert, with search operations intensified in the area to ensure no further threats are present.
This incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the border regions of Jammu and Kashmir, as authorities continue to combat cross-border smuggling and infiltration attempts.(KINS)
