Srinagar, Sep 04 (KINS): Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has heralded a new democratic dawn for Kashmir, urging continued support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as it leads the region towards progress and stability.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, Dr. Singh highlighted the significant increase in voter turnout in recent elections, breaking a long-standing trend of low participation and political disengagement. He credited this surge to a renewed public trust in the democratic process and the reforms introduced by the BJP.
Dr. Singh criticized the previous “self-rule” model, arguing that it failed to deliver real self-government and effective governance, perpetuating a cycle of inefficient leadership. In contrast, he praised the BJP for revitalizing Kashmir’s political landscape and ensuring genuine representation.
“The days of outdated and disconnected leadership are over,” Dr. Singh declared. “Today, democracy in Kashmir thrives as the BJP restores true democratic engagement and good governance.”
He commended the high voter turnout, including strong participation in the Lok Sabha elections, as evidence of Kashmiris’ commitment to democratic values and progress. Dr. Singh emphasized that the BJP’s leadership has set the region on a path of rapid development and international recognition.
