Kathua, Oct 25: The newly established Homeopathy College in Kathua has received the green light to start its first academic session with 63 students enrolled. This college marks a significant milestone in the advancement of healthcare education in Jammu and Kashmir.
The initiative for the college came through the efforts of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, who secured its approval from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of AYUSH. Dr. Singh shared the news on social media platform X, calling it a major step forward for the region’s healthcare sector.
During a visit to the college site on March 10, 2024, Dr. Singh emphasized that this institution would offer new opportunities for students interested in alternative medicine, fostering a new generation of healthcare professionals.
“Exciting news for Kathua and Jammu & Kashmir! The Homeopathy College, approved at our request by Prime Minister Modi and the Ministry of AYUSH, is set to begin its first batch with 63 students,” Dr. Singh posted on X.
In addition to providing education, the college is expected to play a crucial role in promoting holistic healthcare by integrating different medical systems and enhancing healthcare services in the region
