Kulgam, Jan 15 (KINS): In a bid to strengthen trust and cooperation with residents of remote areas, SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS held a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting in Kund at Waltengoo.
Accompanied by ASP NHW Qazigund Mumtaz Ali Bhatti-JKPS, SDPO Qazigund, and SHO Kund, SSP Kulgam received a warm welcome from the villagers. The meeting was attended by prominent citizens, DDC Kund Shri Sheikh Gulzar, members of Auqaf committees, chowkidars, traders’ federations, and various market associations.
During the meeting, participants raised several issues of public concern and praised the SSP for his cooperative and proactive approach to policing. Local residents emphasized the need for better counselling and employment opportunities for unemployed youth in the area.
SSP Kulgam assured attendees that their genuine grievances would be addressed promptly. He also pledged to take up issues related to civil administration with the concerned departments for swift resolution. The SSP encouraged youth to remain vigilant against online scams and avoid anti-social and anti-national activities.
Highlighting the importance of community collaboration, SSP Kulgam appealed for public support in maintaining peace and combating drug abuse. He reassured residents that no innocent person would face harassment and urged them to share factual information about individuals involved in anti-social or anti-national activities.
The residents expressed their appreciation for the SSP’s visit and called for more such interactive meetings in the future to foster stronger ties between the police and the public.(KINS)
