Statehood for J&K to be restored soon, reiterates Union Minister Ramdas Athawale

Jammu, Feb 27 (KINS): Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale, on Thursday reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood would be restored soon, as promised by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Addressing a press conference in Jammu as per news agency KINS, Athawale hailed the abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A) as one of the biggest achievements of the Narendra Modi-led central government.

Speaking on the issue of statehood, he stated, “The Centre has promised it. While I cannot specify an exact timeline, the Union Home Minister has assured its restoration both in Parliament and here in J&K. The people want it, and they should get it. A decision in this regard may be taken soon.”(KINS)
